Getting started
MeetSmara
Bot-free, real-time multilingual meeting intelligence — how it works and how to use this manual.
MeetSmara is a desktop app that captures meeting audio without joining the call. It transcribes as people speak and shows a live dual-language view: the speaker’s original language on one side, your language on the other.
Nothing appears as an extra participant in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or any other call. MeetSmara listens to the same microphone and system audio you already hear.
What you can do
- Record a meeting and read a live transcript with speaker labels
- Translate in real time (Premium, Enterprise, and the current beta)
- Ask Smara questions during and after the meeting
- Generate a summary, mind map, and action items when the call ends
- Organise meetings into workspaces and projects, and share with your team
- Connect Slack, Notion, Google Docs, task tools, CRM, and your calendar
What you need
- A MeetSmara account (Google, Apple, GitHub, or email)
- Headphones whenever you can — they keep remote audio from looping back into your microphone
- An internet connection for transcription (there is no offline speech-to-text)
- Windows for the shipping installer. macOS is functionally complete (microphone and system audio) but distribution still depends on Apple signing and notarization
