Record a meeting
End a meeting
End Meeting, why there is no pause, auto-end when the call looks over, and usage banners.
Click End Meeting or press Ctrl+W (Cmd+W on Mac). The transcript is saved and MeetSmara Intelligence starts (summary, mind map, actions).
There is no pause
MeetSmara does not pause a recording. A pause would either keep billing for a silent stream or reset speaker labels. Stop when you are done; start a new meeting if you return later.
Auto-end
If the conferencing app looks closed, or both audio streams stay quiet for a long time, MeetSmara asks:
- Has your call ended?
- Still in a meeting?
| Choice | What happens |
|---|---|
| Keep recording | Dismisses the warning. Call-end warnings stay off until a call is clearly in progress again. |
| End now | Stops immediately. |
| Wait | At zero, MeetSmara re-checks. Only then does it stop. Uncertain detection does not stop you. |
On macOS, grant Screen Recording so MeetSmara can see in-call windows (window titles, not screen contents). Without it, auto-end is more conservative.
Usage banners
Near your monthly minute limit, a banner appears. At 100%, transcription stops. Your notes and transcript so far remain. See Plans and usage.
