Remote voices are missing

Only your voice appears in the transcript.

1. Confirm the call is playing on the same output selected in Settings → Audio.
2. Unmute that device in Windows / macOS sound settings.
3. Restart the meeting after you change the output.

MeetSmara never joins the call, so it cannot hear a participant who is silent in your speakers/headphones.

macOS permissions

Grant Microphone and Screen Recording. Screen Recording is used for system audio and to see whether a call window is open — MeetSmara does not save a video of your display. If auto-end never fires, Screen Recording is usually missing.

Overlay is gone or click-through

Re-open Pop out floating subtitles from the live top bar. Turn click-through off if you cannot drag the window. Reset size in Settings → Advanced.

Auto-end fired while I was still in the call

Choose Keep recording. Auto-end is conservative when it cannot see the call app; a false warning is still a warning, not a silent stop. On macOS, enable Screen Recording so window detection works.

Sync issue banner

You are still recording locally. The banner means the cloud copy is behind. Check the network and stay signed in. Persistent failures are listed in Settings → Data & Privacy.

Offline

Without internet, live transcription pauses. Notes still save locally. When you reconnect, transcription can resume and sync catches up. A gap may be marked in the transcript.

Quota reached

At 100% of monthly minutes, live transcription stops. Upgrade or wait for the next month. Past meetings stay readable. See Plans and usage.

The title stays “Untitled Meeting”

Intelligence titles the meeting after it ends. If the title job fails, open the meeting and edit the title, or retry Intelligence. A blank transcript cannot be titled.
