Getting started
Install
Download MeetSmara for Windows, install it, and keep it up to date. macOS notes included.
MeetSmara is a desktop app. During the private beta, join the waiting list on meetsmara.com. If we open a place, you receive an email with a personal link; that browser then shows the installer for your operating system.
Windows
- When you have beta access, click Download for Windows on the website.
- Run the downloaded file and follow the prompts.
- Open MeetSmara from the Start menu.
- Sign in when the app asks — see Sign in and set up.
macOS
macOS capture (microphone + system audio via Screen Recording) works in development builds. A public, notarized installer is still pending Apple Developer signing.
Until that ships:
- Prefer the Windows build for production use
- If you have a macOS build, grant Microphone and Screen Recording when prompted. Screen Recording is used for system audio and call-window detection — MeetSmara does not store your screen
Updates
When a new version is ready, a chip appears at the bottom of the sidebar: Relaunch to update. Click it, let the app restart, and you are on the new build. You do not need to download the installer again.
